Not Exactly What I Promised

The lighting hasn't been right for me to take pictures of the decorating I've done around the house. So here's what I did over the weekend! :)

It was my MIL's birthday on Saturday, so we cooked our dinner over the fire at their house. It was fun, but MIL was cold as usual! :)
We also played whatever this game is called. Sorry - I only know how to play it. I was more into taking pictures than I was playing this time!
After that we played cards. Orion loves to go under the table and lay. I don't know why he thought this was comfortable!
I also got the Sex and The City Movie tonight! I saw this in the theater but loved it so much I had to get the DVD too! I watched it again tonight - it's still great!

What I've been up to

This is a picture I took last week when I was out taking pictures of used buses all day. It was nice to get out of the office for most of the day, but when the cheap camera we have at work only holds 30 pictures and I had 20+ buses to take pictures of, five pictures per bus, you do the math on how many times I had to walk my butt out there. Oh well. Again, it was better than being cooped up inside all day!

Work has really slowed down for me. School has started and all of my buses have been delivered. I have a couple on order that will be going out the beginning of next month, but until then, I'm trying to keep busy without them piling more duties on me. I already got another one to add to the job description - maintainer of website. I just keep telling myself the more I learn, the better off I am, there or at another job in the future.

What else? Oh, I finally got WiiFit last weekend! SIL and I went to Target at 8am Sunday morning. We dilly dallied for a couple of minutes and almost missed out! We were out of there by 8:15 and I got the last one! It's really fun - I actually enjoy doing it. I've used it every day except for Wednesday when I got home after 10pm. Hopefully this will continue and it'll actually work for me!

SIL and I also decluttered my house last weekend. I have to take pictures of that and post them. It's really refreshing in the house now! I think after a few years, you just keep bringing in stuff and finding a place for it, whether or not you really have room. Now with a lot of that gone, I have room to breathe! I'll have to post that later this weekend.

Late Labor Day Weekend Update

Labor Day weekend was great. Dh and I went Thursday night, which never happens, so it was nice to have a longer weekend. We were able to swim and get out in the boat, which made it perfect. Just a couple of shots to share from the weekend.

Dh and my nephew going over nephew's tackle box. They both LOVE fishing, so they are good buddies. My Aunt sprinkling my Uncle's ashes on the hunting land. He hunted on here for over 30 years. It was emotional, but it was nice to remember him all weekend.
My cousins and my brother tubing behind our boat. The rope broke three times! My cousin couldn't find a lifejacket that would fit him, so he used one of the kids. Thankfully, it wasn't needed, but it did make for some good laughs!
It was great hanging out with all of my family and relaxing after such a stressful August at work. Thankfully things have calmed down now and I'm trying to get things back on track. If you've emailed me in the last month, I probably haven't gotten back to you. Believe me, it's not that I don't want to, just too many good excuses for why I haven't. I'm getting back on the stick this week. :)
