I took this photo last night when I let the dogs out - around 2:30am. It looks like a sad and lonely tea party or something. It's a little blurry, but I thought it turned out cool!

They're Baaaack!

Tonight is the night of returns - First the good one - The Office is finally back!! I can't wait for the episode tonight and it's great knowing that it will be on for the next couple of weeks as well! Second - a bad one - Snow is back!! We're supposed to get 5-8 inches around my house. It's coming down like a mofo right now. We even have our deck furniture out!
Someone on the radio said that this is Paul Douglas' (one of the local weathermen) way of getting us back for his getting fired. Now that would be some control!

Birthday Weekend

Thanks for all of the well wishes - I had a great birthday! Friday night I scrapped with friends and had a wonderful time! Here's what I made using the new Making Memories line:
Saturday my family came over. Here's my niece putting on the new My Little Pony socks I got for her. She had to put one of each on.

The second prompt from the This is Me Challenge from Scraploft is Mind, Body, Soul (whatever this means to you). I had a really hard time with this one, so I took the easy way out. Oh well, I still like it! Dh is holding a boa that we gave my niece for her birthday. I thought it was a funny picture. The layout was made with the Studio Calico February kit.

Easter Wrap-up

Thanks to the Easter holiday, I actually was able to take pictures of real human beings! Not just dog photos here.

Here is my precious niece with her Easter bonnet on. She's not too happy to have a member of the paparazzi (or someone who acts like one) for an aunt. That's my Mom holding her.
Here's my nephew blowing up baloons. DH taught him that if you hold the end and let the air out slowly, the balloon will make a really loud screeching noise. Yes, he's going to hell for that one.
Here's Dh and my nephew playing with cars. I love that both of them are making noises like cars. (look at their lips, you can tell they're going "duuu"
Here's my niece coloring with those cool new markers for toddlers. The only bad part is that she's wearing white and they didn't come with tops.
Overall a great Easter. And it was fun to practice taking photos of real people!

Reason 500 Why I Love My New Camera

But WITH the new camera, I was also able to get this:

A question was asked if I'm using the manual setting of my camera. Not yet. Still on auto - but for these I was in child mode to get fast movements. Believe me, when he's fighting for the toy, those ears are a flappin'!

A New Challenge

Spying Time

I'm finally catching up on my I Spies. First is #4 Festive - This is the invite for my niece's 2nd birthday party this weekend. I can't believe she's going to be 2!! As for #5 - Something Green - I had a hard time with this. It was hard for me to find anything green around me. It's not like my coat, purse, couch, dog's collar, most of my clothes, my eyes, table cloth, bathroom, plants, or even my kitchen counter top is green or anything! :) Yes, green is my favorite color. So here's two green things - first, Orion with his green color and green eyes, sitting on my green couch.
Second is my Easter towels in my green bathroom. These are so cheery!

I finally had some time to upload some pictures from my new camera. Here's a picture of Baron. I love how his nose is what's in focus, especially since that's all you can see most of the time! Here's my peace lily, which is still blooming.

I Must Have Been A Good Girl...

I finally got my Christmas present - but it was worth the wait!

Yes, that's a Nikon D60 SLR!! Woo-hoo!! This obviously was taken with my old camera, an Olympus point and shoot. The battery is charging as I type on the new one, so I won't be taking any pictures until tomorrow. I'm so excited!! Dh is the best!

Thanks for all of the well-wishes. I've been feeling a little better, but not great. I did make an appointment for the Mayo Clinic at the end of the month. Here's hoping I make it until then! :)

You Know I'm Not Feeling Well When...

I didn't mention at all today that my birthday is a month away. Every 4th of every month, I say to at least 5 people that my birthday is so many months away. I didn't even realize it was the 4th until I wrote out a check at Target after work. That's sign number 40 that something's not quite right.

Top Model is doing makeovers tomorrow. My favorite episodes of the show. Project Runway finale tomorrow to - Go Jillian! Now if my head would stop pounding, it would all be good.

And, yes, even I'm sick of my bitching about my headaches. But it's my blog - so there. :P

Headaches are a Headache

Damn. These stupid headaches are back. Most likely sinus headaches. I was on antibiotics (or actually, still am, I end them tomorrow), but that hasn't even touched it. Thank God for vicoden. But now that's gone too. Now for the hard part, do I use my very few vacation days to trek down to Mayo and hope they can help? Or do I try something else and see what happens? Ah, the joys of chronic sinusitis. Believe me, I know everyone gets headaches, but not like this. It's hard to do anything or concentrate on anything with these babies. Maybe I just need a lobotomy.

I don't know if any of you have heard about the British study that said that anti-depressants do not work on most people. I was telling Dh about it today. He interrupted me half way through and said - Hell no! I'm not going to live that crazy woman again! Yes, I am one of millions of people currently on anti-depressants. And, yes, I was crazy before I went on them. He told me he didn't want to live with the person that cried over the weather again.

Don't worry, Dh doesn't want me drugged for no reason, he just doesn't want me to be that super depressed woman again. And I don't blame him! I didn't like her either.

Overlooked in my Fridge

The Overlooked prompt came out yesterday. It was to take a picture of your fridge. Here's mine, including the freezer. I just went to the grocery store yesterday, that's why it's full. Probably the funniest things in here is the tubes of sausage that we keep in can coolers in the freezer (they're freezable can coolers) and the fact that there are two beers in the crisper. I have no idea if this makes either product better, but that's where they are living in my fridge.
Otherwise, not much going on. Work has been boring lately - we're in a bit of a lull. Ask me in June if I'd want to go back to this week. I'd probably beg you for it!

I Spy Something Cold

That is what the temperature was this morning at 7:45am. Now that's cold! It's also my picture for the We Spy:You Spy challenge this week.

We had a talking to at work today. The company monitored internet usage for a week. There were over 4,000 hits to sex related sites (I don't know what this all encompassed) and over 5,000 to gambling sites. Can you believe that? I'm going to have to curtail my Two Peas browsing and checking out PerezHilton.com, but gambling? I never thought of doing that at work. They estimated in that one week, each employee lost 19 hours to the internet. I don't quite believe that, but still it's a lot.

In other fun news, I've been dealing with a headache for over a month straight. It's been fun. Yes, it does go away, but never more than a day. Finally I had enough today and made an appointment for Friday. Hopefully it's not my sinuses again. That would suck.

Here are some layouts I did with the February kit from Studio Calico. I love this kit! It was really fun to work with and really challenged me and how I put things together.

This layout in particular was inspired by the Studio Calico design team. They have great designers with great layouts to enjoy.
Another layout I did just with Basic Grey and Hambly. The title is a little hard to read, but it's Winter Wonderland.
